Although our main goal is
not to get every student on a stage, we recognize that
performance is one of the most fun elements of taking a
dance class! In gaining performance experience,
students grow in their self confidence as well as their
confidence in dancing as a cohesive group. All of
our students are given the opportunity to perform in
front of small audiences of friends and family at
non-professional events.

62, Nutitionist, bellydancing since 2003
I started belly dancing about 3 or 4 years ago with a couple of friends from work. Loved it!! Couldn’t do lots of the steps well, having never been a dancer, but had loads of fun trying. It was tribal-style teaching and costuming, which I loved, too. I don’t like the sequins and spangles as much, and I liked the improvisational dancing as a group - although I am not particularly good at that either! But it is still fun. Over time, I’ve learned to do some things better. This is the most fun I've ever had exercising. I have found new abdominal muscles I never knew I had, reduced my back pain, and .....where else can you buy pretty swirly skirts and jingly hip scarfs to go exercise in? |
